Job Description
Danfoss HEX is looking for a Sustainability Sourcing Program Manager to join our team.

As a Sustainability Sourcing Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable scope 3 reductions and ensure that the organization's activities align with environmental, social, and economic sustainability goals set by Danfoss. In your role you will run carbon reduction projects and workshops, assessing suppliers and aligning sustainable sourcing best practices with the other divisions in Danfoss Climate Solutions. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and industry partners to achieve on our sustainable scope 3 reduction strategy.

The role involves stakeholders from several parts of our organization, including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement. The key challenge is successfully identifying, initiating, planning, and designing projects with excellent execution and control to be delivered to timeline while maintaining cost targets. Moreover, alignment and knowledge sharing across our Climate Solution Segment will be a key part of the job.

As a Procurement Sustainability Sourcing Program Manager, you will get a unique opportunity to be part of a large organization working to ensure our strategic commitment toward our carbon footprint reductions by presenting well-developed recommendations. You will be part of a global procurement team, consisting of Procurement Managers, Strategic Buyers, Sourcing Project managers and Category Managers located in Europe, Mexico and China.

The job requires some travelling (around 30 days/year), when possible.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop CO2 reduction pipeline by according to the market and procurement strategy.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify sustainable sourcing opportunities and innovative procurement practices.
  • Develop CO2 reduction roadmap to achieve Danfoss 2030 Scope 3 sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into processes and business decisions.
  • Communicate the value and benefits of sustainability to internal and external stakeholders, driving awareness and commitment.
  • Assess suppliers based on their sustainability performance and capabilities.
  • Develop and implement supplier evaluation criteria, considering environmental, social, and economic factors.
  • Coordinate, propel, and monitor the collective advancement towards Scope 3 reduction objectives in overall HEX Division.
  • Engage closely with the DCS Segment team to ensure seamless alignment and progress towards the overarching Scope 3 reduction targets.


Background & Skills
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree or higher in procurement, supply chain management, logistics and/or environmental science with at least 5 years of experience in project management, engineering, procurement or operations.

In addition, the ideal candidate possesses these skills:
  • Certified Project Manager credentials and/or manufacturing experience is an advantage.
  • Strong MS Office skills specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners effectively.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously. Strong ability to lead people and groups.
  • Passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact on the environment and society
