The work location of this position is in our factory in Odense, Denmark, where you will become part of a team of highly skilled and committed colleagues working closely together.
Danfoss Fire Safety A/S is part of the Danfoss Group and a global leader in the sale, development, production, and service/commissioning of certified fixed firefighting systems under the brand name SEM-SAFE®.
Our firefighting systems are based on two key technologies: high-pressure water mist and low-pressure CO2. We are engineering a safer tomorrow for people and assets in buildings, industry, and the marine sector.
Job Responsibilities
As Senior Strategic Purchaser you will be responsible for a range of strategic procurement activities to ensure supplier performance and development on both short and long-term basis. In doing so, you will be working across several functions and serve as the link between Supply Chain and external suppliers.
You will part of a team of 4 employees and deliver to the overall strategy as well as the operational procurement activities to ensure the business is running; being in close contact with suppliers and the internal stakeholders.
This position will give you an exciting growth opportunity as you take on the challenge and support to define and implement the new procurement strategy and processes of the company along with also being hands-on with the operational tasks.
Key responsibilities will be to:
• Define and implement Sourcing Strategies
• Drive Cost Down Activities
• Support new product development projects and engineering changes (supplier selection, price negoti-ations etc.)
• Ensure a good and effective Supplier Relationship Management
• Ensure that our suppliers have the right capacity to support Danfoss' growth
• Maintain procurement master data in our ERP system (NAV)

Background & Skills
You most likely have a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree within a relevant field of study. More importantly you have experience within strategic procurement/supply chain (+3 years) preferably from the manufacturing industry, having good business insights and process understanding.
Furthermore, we expect that you are a good communicator and have a high proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, and have the following qualifications and characteristics:
• Cross-functional approach to problem solving
• Goal-oriented and self-driven
• Structured, highly diligent, and strong executer with efficient approach to your work
• Continuously working to improve processes and the ability to bring structure into an unstructured environment
• Ability to prioritize and work under time constraints and tight deadlines as well as to work in a complex organization with different agendas
• Team player who can interact with others, across borders and cultures at all levels
• Positive attitude and being able to see opportunities rather than limitations
