Welcome to the Adapters team. We are a diverse team that are excited about working closely together with traders and sales people to provide masterfully engineered solutions that enable trade data to be used for reporting and BI purposes. The team takes pride in writing clean and beautiful code that is efficient, robust and easy to maintain. We help each other grow as software engineers and are constantly looking for ways to improve the way we work. As a Senior Java Developer, you'll play a critical role in creating applications and adapters for our Front Office trading applications, like Bloomberg, Front Arena, Murex, and Wallstreet.
What you'll be doing:
- Integrating to our Front Office trading sytems, publish/subscribe data via Kafka and message queues, building REST APIs and reconciliation tools, creating front end applications, and join larger software projects to realize business ideas/new revenue streams
- Working with business users to create and update high-performing adapters which feed trade data to core data hubs
- Writing clean, well-structured code and help your team mates to do the same
- Working on new software projects as well as improving the current code base
- Working close to front office, learning the business domain (Equities, Fixed Income, FX)
- Being an engaged member of the scrum team and the Front Office adapter team
You will join the team of sklilled and experienced developers. The role is based in Gdansk and Copenhagen.

Your experience and background: - Technical skills:
- Java 5+ experience (understands functional programming techniques & principles - Scala knowledge a definite bonus, but not required)
- Spring Boot
- Kafka
- IBM MQ (not JMS, but java low-level client)
- (Fluent)JDBC (we are phasing out JPA)
- Oracle SQL (+ PL/SQL)
- Docker, K8S
- Ansible, Bamboo, Jenkins
- Personal skills:
- Analytical thinker
- Good communicator
- Structured, knows how to break complex problems into smaller possibly dependent tasks
- Comfortable with changing priorities
