Danfoss IXA is looking for a Sales Manager with good interpersonal skills to join our Sales, Marketing and Project team.

Danfoss IXA is part of the Danfoss Group and produces optical emission gas sensors which are unique in the marked and embedded cutting-edge technology. We are a flexible organization in constant development with strong growth potential and specialized in development, sales, service and installation of sensors and systems for the global maritime industry.
Our customers are global shipping operators, large shipyards, leading marine engine manufacturers and after-treatment solution providers. An industry facing severe risks as a main contributor to global emissions and from where new demands for emission monitoring solutions are emerging. Danfoss IXA is focused on offering in-situ, low maintenance, reliable and long-lived emission monitoring systems for the maritime industry.
You will report to the Sales Director and become part of the international sales team, where solution selling and profitability are key elements for success.
The position will be based in our new offices in Kolding, when not traveling to our growth expansion markets i.e. China, Korea, Singapore, Athens (estimated 60-80 travel days).
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a team player, that can build and maintain relationships with customers. Your responsibility will be to define sales plans and long term account strategies.
Products and growth map is also part of the Sales Manager role to support our engineering team to develop future products and technologies relevant to the future needs within the maritime industry. Growth Map is short term, midterm and long-term initiatives that will ensure our growth for the future. The Sales Manager has an active role in taking part in growth map execution.
In addition, the responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Meeting customers and identifying opportunities, supporting project execution to secure recurring business and creating alignment between stakeholders in close collaboration with service operations
- Proactively building sales pipeline for our products i.e. MES1001/MES1001 MARPOL and providing monthly sales outline with overview of market and market approach
- Partner follows up to ensure contact to end users incl. co-visits with partners
- Ensuring qualified sales forecast on finished goods is essential and, in that process, also making sure that we receive the necessary and correct dataset.
- Attending trade fairs, hereunder help with content for catalogues update, data sheets update, videos etc.
Background & Skills You have a relevant bachelor's degree or technical background and a proven solid track record of industrial sales within B2B. You have at least 5 years 'experience with technical sales and marine industry experience is not a requirement, but will be considered advantageous in the role.
Being a team player, contributing to the team, but at the same time being comfortable and able to work independently is important. You are experienced in demanding price and agreement negotiations. You will need sound networking skills, and a full overview of relevant stakeholders.
On the personal level, you should be analytical, a good listener with high focus on long-term partnerships built on knowledge, trust, and quality. A personal drive, and ambition to push boundaries both internally and externally in combination with a result-oriented and a close follow-up mentality. Working previously with PULL Strategy will be considered an advantage.
Being curious, forming relations and adapting to different cultures and situations is easy for you. Having excellent interpersonal communications skills, enables you to communicate your results in a clear and concise manner. Finally, you are fluent in Danish and English, both verbally and in writing.
