About this opportunity
Welcome to the Nordea Pension's Risk Management team. We add value by ensuring an effective risk management system is in place in Nordea Pension. As the Risk Analyst, you will support the Chief Risk Officer in Nordea Pension and help secure that we are able to identify, measure, monitor, manage and report the current and future risks to the business. You will contribute to activities and initiatives within risk management. Our risk management team collaborates closely with the global risk management team at Nordea Life & Pension Group level, and we are defined as a 2nd line of defence function, together with the actuarial function and the compliance function.
What you'll be doing:
- Ensure robust management and overview of relevant operational risks from a second line of defence point of view in Nordea Pensions business in Denmark
- Take part in analysing and developing the general internal risk management system in Nordea Pension, as well as in analysing risks from our internal risk taxonomy
- Engage with a broad section of stakeholders in Nordea Pension to oversee and challenge the management of operational risk exposures
- Participate in ongoing dialogue with the Nordea Pension's Group Risk Management team regarding, among other things, operational risks
- Help maintain our framework of operational risk related policies and processes
- Drive own development and learning, and keep updated within own area of responsibility, to secure development in competences and to be able to provide specialist advise
You'll join a small team of experienced risk professionals, and the role is based in Copenhagen.

Your experience and background: - Work experience minimum 3+ years preferably from finance related jobs
- Master's degree in finance, economics, law or similar
- Proven operational risk management and control experience within the insurance, pension, credit or investment management financial sectors
- Knowledge of pension products, processes and regulation is an advantage
- The internal language in Nordea Pension is Danish, hence fluency in both written and spoken Danish is important. Other than that, all analysis, reports and presentations that we perform are in English, and all projects that you will take part in on Nordea Pension Group level are conducted in English, and therefore, fluency in written and spoken English is essential
