The Animal Health (AH) Team comprises approximately 55 people, with about 20 located in the office in Copenhagen and the other 35 distributed across Sweden, Norway and primarily Denmark. The team is responsible for all sales and marketing activities in the Nordic region including local regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, quality assurance and health care compliance activities. Our dedicated employees drive a strong portfolio covering a range of pharmaceuticals, vaccines and nutraceuticals for production and companion animals.

As our new Quality Assurance and Health Care Compliance Officer you will be responsible for the quality contact to contract manufacturing sites of four specific products. You will be involved in the GDP quality processes related to the local distribution of Animal Health product in the Nordics, and in addition you will implement/maintain relevant quality systems for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Nordics.

As a second part of your responsibility, you will act as a marketing compliance advisor regarding the creation of promotional marketing material as well as other promotional marketing activities. You will participate in strategies regarding handling of complaints related to promotional material and activities.

The department Quality Assurance (QA) and Health Care Compliance (HCC) consist of four people. You will work in our office in Copenhagen while reporting directly to the local Quality Assurance (QA) and Health Care Compliance (HCC) Nordics Lead. For quality tasks, you will also benefit from the BI regional quality team.

 

Further key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that local suppliers and contract manufactures are adequately qualified and maintained as per cGMP/cGDP and manage, monitor quality related processes from local suppliers
  • Act as quality contact for the local contract manufacturing organisations
  • Maintain the storage and distribution setup for BI in the Nordics
  • Decide on the final disposition of returned, rejected, recalled or falsified products
  • Manage local Quality Management System, including systems for SOPs, deviations, CAPAs, self-inspections, product complaints, recalls, training, change controls and PQRs
  • Approval of promotional materials and activities
  • Carry out relevant HCC monitoring (e.g. Veeva Screening)
  • Responsible for HCC onboarding of new employees
  • Give internal advice on HCC to other departments and functions (e.g., field force, Sales Managers, Product Managers) to comply with current Nordic promotional and advertising rules.

 

What you should bring to the team:

  • Bachelor or masters degree in natural sciences (e.g. pharmacy, food science).
  • Preferably 1 3 years of Quality Assurance experience
  • Knowledge of/experience with GDP legislation within the EU is desirable
  • knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and understanding of production, analysis, and final packaging of medicinal products is a plus
  • Excellent Language skills in one of the Scandinavian languages (DK, NO or SE) and good knowledge of English
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications
  • Independent and meticulous cross functional team player
  • Eye for detail, agility and flexibility
  • Well-developed communication, influencing and listening skills
  • Proactive creativity, and taking smart risks and necessary entrepreneurship knowledge
  • Strong time management skills and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
