For our Support Structure (Tower & Foundation) Department in Offshore Engineering, we are looking for a new Project Manager to lead our Technology Development Projects.

Besides the department for SUS Project Managers, the Support Structure area includes the departments for Loads, Primary Structures Design, Secondary Structures Design and System Integration.

The department is engaged in project specific designs as well as development projects for Offshore wind farms all over the world and enable optimizations, new solutions and efficient project execution within this area.

We aim for "fire prevention" rather than "firefighting" and build our business on professional project management skills combined with high technical competencies and strong leadership.

How to contribute to our vision

As our new Support Structure Project Manager for Technology Development Projects, you will be responsible for managing the Technology Development Projects related to tower and foundation activities in the turbine package. In addition, you will utilize your own engineering skills and take part in design activities within the project. You will be involved in back office as well as front line activities, finding solutions together with the technical experts in the other departments.

More specifically, your assignments will include:

  • Delivering high quality engineering projects on agreed time and budget and in accordance to our Technology Development process (stage gate model)
  • Coordinating and managing deliverables from Solution Owners and Technical Specialists involved in the various development projects
  • Conducting time planning and coordination of engineering activities in the development projects
  • Resourcing allocation within the support structure group in close cooperation with the line management
  • Managing technical interfaces within and outside the support structure department
  • Proactively share knowledge by reporting lessons learned back to the line organization in order to ensure continuous improvement of products and processes
  • Third party certification of relevant deliverables
  • Ensuring that the project execution is always compliant with Siemens Gamesa quality procedure

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

The ideal candidate has experience from executing Technology or New Product Development projects as a Project Manager and also holds experience with managing many different stakeholders and interfaces (internally as well as externally) and succeeding in delivering technically scoped projects

To be successful in this role you also:

  • are positive, proactive, motivating and self-determined. You take responsibility for your work and you possess strong analytical, coordination and collaboration skills
  • enjoy working in an international environment and possess excellent English skills, both orally and in writing
  • love the fun and the challenge in the race of building some of the largest offshore wind farms in the world
