Danfoss Redan, a leading supplier of district energy solutions for single and multifamily houses is looking for an Engineering manager who wants to join our strong engineering team to develop the products and processes of tomorrow.
Danfoss Redan is located in Silkeborg, where we are utilizing the synergies of having the entire value chain of Sales - engineering - manufacturing - distribution under one roof. This enables us to deliver flexible End-to-End (E2E) solutions. We have more than 50 years of experience delivering modern and reliable district heating solutions for more than 1.000.000 homes to date.
We offer you a unique job opportunity leading Engineering To Order (ETO) - working on the two fold agenda of:
- Delivering innovative products, technology and adapt it according to customer needs and requirements.
- Optimizing products and development process to be efficient and at the same time ISO/AITF compliant. Securing compliant products in high quality with a short lead time.
Job Responsibilities Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Develop Engineering project roadmap including new ETO/product modification projects, product changes and participation in new product development with all required stakeholders from e.g., production, sales, quality, logistics and procurement.
- E2E execution of projects, including product simulation, product documentation, compliance, Production BOM and documentation like 3D drawings etc.
- Lead own projects, primarily related to process and change management.
- Ensuring the usage of standard tools, processes and KPI's
- Participate in production optimization projects to secure E2E focus and cost down.
Background & Skills The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
- As a minimum, you hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, backed up by solid experience from an R&D or similar development function running projects.
- Skilled manager with focus on quality, effective procedures and methods
- Our way of working is cross functional, which requires skills, like matrix leadership and stakeholder management.
- You are familiar with IT systems like MS Office, SAP and maybe Solid works.
- You are a skilled project manager who will guarantee that the internal engineering tools, methods and systems used in an efficient way.
- You have preferably an understanding of heating applications from a consultant agency or company within district heating.
- You have a holistic mind-set, keeping track of projects and have the drive for further improvement and optimization opportunities.
- You are open minded with a positive attitude
- Finally, you are proficient in both Danish and English.
You will be manager of the Engineering team consisting of 10 people and having direct reference to Director of Operations.
