At Bekey we provide electronic access for professionals within homecare, distribution, and other segments.
The homecare segment saves time on the administration of keys - time that the employees instead can spend on assisting citizens. Bekey makes everyday life easier and removes a frequent source of frustration for the employees while increasing the tenants’ feeling of safety.
To the distribution segment, we provide a unique opportunity to improve their services at a small cost. By removing the barrier of locked front doors, logistics companies and online supermarkets can deliver goods when the recipient is out or at night.
We are not stopping here, but are actively pursuing new markets at home and abroad and we are looking for further segments for our solution, which is equally interesting for e.g. the property management and construction markets.

You will be joining a scale-up company with 25 enthusiastic colleagues in Denmark, that are working every day to meet Bekeys strategy and our business goals. We aim high, work intensively to meet our common goals and we have fun doing it.

You will report to our CEO and will join Bekeys management group. You will be head of our skilled R&D team, which includes product owners, project managers and software/hardware developers. The R&D team counts 22 dedicated and skilled colleagues, of which 3 are working out of our Søborg office and 19 are located in Romania/Ukraine.

Techstack: Java, Hibernate, Spring, PostgreSQL, Docker, Angular, Native iOS, Native Android, Bluetooth, etc.

Primary tasks:

• Cultivate empowerment of the R&D team
• OKR-driven development
• Hybrid team approach and involvement
• Responsible for the strategic and tactical approach to development and delivery
• Determination of how the team will use technology to improve our products and services
• Recommend enterprise architecture in cooperation with the team
• Improve the product’s ability to solve real problems for customers and enhance the team’s ability to fulfill their commitments
• Ensure technologies are used efficiently, economically, and securely
• Ensure the usage of best practice, agile development processes
• Sparring with team members such as product owners, project managers and developers
• Protect the company's intellectual property
• Communicate technology strategy to partners and customers
• Build quality assurance and data protection processes
• Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess the performance
• Contribute to the continued growth of Bekey

Skill sets:

• Proven work experience as CTO
• Interest in technological trends to help build strategies
• Understanding of budgets and business planning
• Excellent communication skills in English and Danish, the corporate language is Danish.
• Leadership and organizational abilities
• Strategic thinking combined with a problem-solving attitude

You can expect to travel approximately once per month to our offices abroad (taking into account travel restrictions and other circumstances).
