About the position: For the Operational Controlling department in the SGRE Service business unit we are looking for an experienced Commercial Project Manager to take on the day-to-day management of one business controller and assume the financial responsibility for the Global Offshore Heavy Lift department in close cooperation with the department head. The Commercial Project Manager is supported by the business controller and one student worker. You will be referring to the Head of Operational Controlling within the CFO organization.

The Global Offshore Heavy Lift team of 6 people (excl. technicians) operates a Jack-Up vessel on a long-term charter, which is deployed with internal staff in North European waters to perform heavy lift operations for many different offshore wind farms. Additional Jack-Up vessels are hired in for parallel operations when necessary. What are my responsibilities?

What are my responsibilities?

  • P&L responsibility for department with annual volume >EUR 20m
  • Optimization of vessel utilization on offshore sites
  • Business case calculations for Jack-Up vessel offers to external customers and presentation for management approval
  • Commercial project management of all Jack-Up tasks performed, including project reviews with management
  • Preparing binding offers to external customers
  • Customer contract negotiations and drafting (normally done via online meetings)
  • Vessel supplier negotiations and contract drafting of vessel charter agreements
  • Reporting, planning and controlling of key figures in connection with month end closing and forecasting
  • Budget preparation and presentation
  • Establishing vessel strategy together with relevant stakeholders
  • Invoicing of services delivered
  • Preparing financial data for management presentations

What do I need to qualify for this position?

  • You hold a Master's degree, preferably in the Economics/Finance area
  • You have previous experience within the offshore wind industry
  • You are self-driven, results-oriented, possess strong analytical skills and have a quality-oriented approach towards your assignments
  • You preferably have experience with customer negotiations, but it is not a strict requirement
  • Team lead/management experience is an advantage but not a requirement
  • You are a super user in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and preferably you have experience with SAP as well as databases for storage of financial data
  • You possess excellent English skills, both orally and in writing, have good interpersonal skills and are capable of working with people from different cultures and organizational levels
